Umgeben von Tannen- und Lärchenwäldern, auf 600 m Höhe, ist der Lac des Settons einer der großen Seen des Morvan. Er hat eine Fläche von 360 ha, die von einem in Frankreich einzigartigen Steindamm zurückgehalten wird. Die Umgebung ist reich an Wäldern und Flüssen, und es gibt typische Dörfer. Wege und Straßen führen entlang des Sees, der für Freizeitaktivitäten, Segeln und andere Wassersportarten eingerichtet ist. Auch das Angeln wird hier ausgeübt. Die Schönheit des Ortes und die zahlreichen Aktivitäten machen den See im Sommer zu einem beliebten Aufenthaltsort. Im Sommer werden auch kommentierte Besichtigungen des Staudamms angeboten.
