Das Musée de la Cour d'Or wurde nach dem Palast der Könige von Austrasien benannt, der einst in Metz stand. Die gallo-römische archäologische Sammlung zählt zu den bedeutendsten Frankreichs: antike Thermen, die in situ erhalten sind, die Mertensäule, der Mithras-Altar... Ein Labyrinth von Sälen und Gängen führt vom Speicher von Chèvremont (15. Jh.) zu den Decken von Voué (13. Jh.) oder zum Altarraum von St-Pierre-aux-Nonnains, der eine der schönsten Sammlungen merowingischer Skulpturen in Europa (7. Jh.) beherbergt. In der Galerie der Schönen Künste können Sie die Werke von Monsù Desiderio (17. Jh.) oder die der Ecole de Metz (19. Jh.) bewundern.
Fünf Rundgänge in leicht lesbarer und verständlicher Sprache (FALC). Hefte werden kostenlos an die Besucher ausgeliehen.
