Eine andere Art, die Maginot-Linie zu betrachten: ein Unterstand für Männer, die sich verpflichtet haben, das Land vor dem Feind zu schützen. Ein oberirdischer Unterstand mit zwei Untergeschossen als Kasernen. Da sich das Werk mitten auf dem Land befindet, verfügt es über keine schweren Waffen. Es garantiert die Ruhe der zwischen den Festungswerken stationierten Truppen und bietet Platz für etwa 100 Mann. Die Wände sind mit Zeichnungen geschmückt, die 1944 von den deutschen Truppen während der Besetzung angefertigt wurden. Geöffnet nur nach Vereinbarung (ab 10 Personen) oder an den Tagen des Kulturerbes.
