Der Strand Sables d'Or ist der letzte Strand im Viertel Chambre d'Amour und weist alle Merkmale eines Stadtstrandes auf. Umgeben von Bars und Restaurants ist er das ganze Jahr über gut besucht, vor allem von Teenagern. Der Strand ist mit Beachvolleyballfeldern ausgestattet. In der Saison ist der Strand bei Einbruch der Dunkelheit stark beleuchtet, sodass Sie das Schauspiel der Wellen genießen können.
Der Strand ist mit der Blauen Flagge ausgezeichnet und wird von Mitte Juni bis Mitte September überwacht.
Jedes Jahr im August findet hier ein professioneller Surfwettbewerb der World Surf League sowie das in Europa einzigartige Event Surf de Nuit statt.
