Die 1927 eingeweihte Kapelle liegt an der Straße, die von der mittelalterlichen Stadt Lescar zum Flughafen Pau - Uzein führt, und wurde direkt hinter der Militärflugschule von Pau errichtet. Sie wurde 2007 restauriert und wird von der Vereinigung "L'Amicale de la Chapelle Mémorial de l'Aviation et du Camp Guynemer" verwaltet. Sie ist ein einzigartiger Ort, um die Archive der Militärluftfahrt in der Nähe der Wiege der französischen Militärluftfahrt zu entdecken.
Die Kapelle ist mit mehreren Glasfenstern (darunter Notre-Dame-de-Lorette, Schutzpatronin der Flieger) und zahlreichen Stelen zum Gedenken an historische zivile und militärische Flieger geschmückt, die in den Himmel über Palais flogen, wie die Gebrüder Wright im Jahr 1909. Ein kleines Museum zeigt Schautafeln, vom Verein organisierte Ausstellungen, Archive und verschiedene Hefte über die Luftfahrt in Palais.
