Seit 1801 in der ehemaligen Kirche des Augustinerinnenklosters untergebracht, dank des Bauunternehmers Flamérion, der zu diesem Zweck die Kirche in zwei verschiedene Ebenen unterteilt hat.
Die Sessel des Präsidenten und der Richter stammen aus dem frühen 19. Jahrhundert und sind als historisches Monument eingetragen. Neufchâteau ist eines der Gerichte, die ihr Mobiliar erhalten konnten
Das Gericht schloss offiziell am 1. Januar 2010 seine Pforten.
Bemerkenswert: Im Dezember 1801 fand wahrscheinlich die erste Gerichtsverhandlung statt. Etwas mehr als zwei Jahrhunderte lang fanden in diesem Gericht Gerichtsverfahren statt!
Dieses Gebäude ist nur im Rahmen von Führungen geöffnet (außer am Wochenende der Tage des Kulturerbes), die vom Office de Tourisme de l'Ouest des Vosges (Fremdenverkehrsamt der Westvogesen) organisiert werden.
