Um zum Hafen von Soussans zu gelangen, muss man der ziemlich geraden Straße zwischen den Weingütern folgen, bevor man weiter hinten die Sümpfe und die Ufer der Gironde erreicht.
Dann gelangt man zu einem kleinen, ruhigen und malerischen Gebiet mit einem privilegierten Panorama auf die Flussmündung: Île verte und Île du Nord in Sichtweite bieten ein natürliches und alltägliches Schauspiel. Je nach Wetter oder sogar Jahreszeit ist jeder Tag ein neues Bild, das es zu entdecken gilt.
Man kann diesen Moment für eine süße Pause an einem der für Picknicks vorgesehenen Tische nutzen.
Wenn der Blick natürlich auf das Wasser gerichtet ist, genügt es, sein Blickfeld ein wenig weiter zu öffnen, um gleich daneben das Schloss Fumadelle (rechts vom Hafen) zu beobachten, das uns die bewegende Geschichte der Insel Fumadelle erzählt, die mit der Küste verbunden war.
