Die ehemalige Benediktinerabtei Saint-Vincent wurde im 10. Jahrhundert gegründet. Sie wurde ab 1248 wieder aufgebaut und 1376 geweiht. Sie ist ein hervorragendes Beispiel für die gotische Architektur. Sie besitzt eine monumentale klassische Fassade, die zwischen 1768 und 1786 wieder aufgebaut wurde. Nach der Revolution, die das Ende der Abtei bedeutete, wurde die Kirche zur Pfarrkirche und 1933 zur Basilika. Die Basilika Saint-Vincent ist seit 2012 entweiht.Der Verein der Freunde von Saint Vincent organisiert gelegentlich Besichtigungen der Basilika. Zwischen 1850 und 1866 schufen die Metzer Laurent-Charles Maréchal und Charles-François Champigneulle mehrere Glasfenster
Die Stätte ist je nach Veranstaltungsprogramm und an den Europäischen Tagen des Kulturerbes geöffnet.
