Die Kirche steht merkwürdigerweise isoliert vom Dorf und nahe der Siedlung Saint-Pierre-Bois. In der rechten Ecke auf der Ostseite trägt ein Stein der Verkettung das Datum 1719. In diesem Jahr wurde die alte Kapelle vergrößert. Im Jahr 1784 wurde an derselben Stelle die heutige Kirche errichtet. Das Innere des Heiligtums erinnert daran, dass es unter dem Schutz des Heiligen Jakobus des Älteren steht, der im Jahr 44 von Herodes Agrippa enthauptet wurde.
