Die Moulin du Poudrier liegt am Ufer der Vienne auf einem 4 Hektar großen Grundstück, das seit dem Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts als Getreidemühle existiert.
Sie wurde von Ludwig XIV. als königliche Mühle für Schießpulver beschlagnahmt, daher wahrscheinlich der Name "Le Poudrier". Nacheinander wurde sie zur Porzellanfabrik, zum Wasserkraftwerk und schließlich zur Spinnerei. Die Mühle wurde 1998 von Jacques Vignéras gekauft, der sie zusammen mit Paolo Del Vecchio restaurierte. Seitdem hat die Anlage ihr Prestige wiedererlangt.
Der Garten ist ein magischer Ort, der alle Sinne anspricht. Er wurde erst kürzlich angelegt und ist französisch-italienisch inspiriert mit Brunnen, Töpfereien und Terrakotta-Statuen.
