Das Zentrum für zeitgenössische Fotokunst ließ sich 2013 in der Villa Pérochon nieder, dem Familienhaus des Schriftstellers Ernest Pérochon, dem ersten Goncourt-Preisträger des Departements Deux-Sèvres. Es ist eines von sechs französischen Zentren für Fotokunst, die 2011 vom Kulturministerium ernannt wurden, und das einzige in der Region Grand Ouest, von Bordeaux bis Nantes und von La Rochelle bis Limoges. Seine künstlerische Leitung wird "Pour l'Instant" anvertraut, dem Organisator der Rencontres de la jeune photographie internationale, dem Schlüssel zum Jahresprogramm des 2007 als gemeinnützig anerkannten Vereins. Das CACP besteht aus einem Garten, einer 120 m2 großen Galerie mit 100 laufenden Metern Ausstellungsfläche (ständiger Ort für Kreationen und Ausstellungen) und einer Künstlerresidenz.
