Diese tiefen Schluchten am Nordwesthang des Mont-Lozère wurden vom Bach Bramont gegraben, dessen Wasser teilweise unterirdisch verläuft. Die Hänge werden von einer bewaldeten Vegetation aus Waldkiefern und Eichen eingenommen.
Am Ufer des Baches, in dem der Europäische Fischotter lebt, entwickelt sich ein Ufergehölz aus Eschen, Pappeln, Weiden und Erlen, das für die Wasserränder charakteristisch ist.
Die Klippenbereiche ermöglichen die Nistplätze des Uhus, dessen Population im Lozère auf 20 bis 30 Paare geschätzt wird.
Die Wälder eignen sich für den Schlangenadler, für den es in der Lozère zwischen 120 und 190 Paare gibt.
