Dieses Museum hat eine originelle, märchenhafte Geschichte: Es ist ein Nebengebäude des historischen Museums von Mulhouse, das von einem Pfarrer gegründet wurde, der seine Heimat liebte und die Zeugnisse und Bräuche vergangener Zeiten bewahren wollte.
Es ist in einem schönen, restaurierten Bauernhaus untergebracht.
Die Sammlungen sind in verschiedene Themenbereiche gegliedert: Berufe, häusliches Leben, landwirtschaftliches Leben, religiöses Leben. Sie stellen das Leben der Bauern im Sundgau im 19. und Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts dar, eine Welt, die sehr weit weg zu sein scheint...
