Dit museum heeft een originele geschiedenis, een echt sprookje: het is een dependance van het historisch museum van Mulhouse, opgericht door een priester die verliefd was op zijn land en de getuigenissen en gebruiken van weleer wilde bewaren.
Het is gevestigd in een prachtig gerestaureerde boerderij.
De collecties zijn gebaseerd op verschillende thema's: ambachten, huiselijk leven, landbouwleven, religieus leven, en schetsen het leven van boeren in de Sundgau in de 19e en begin 20e eeuw, een wereld die heel ver weg lijkt...
