THEATER, Mirecourt
Es ist schwer vorstellbar, dass das Theater von Mirecourt aufgrund seiner Größe und Schönheit eines der wichtigsten Theater in den Vogesen war ... Sein Bau ist übrigens recht originell, denn der erste Theatersaal wurde 1824 in der ehemaligen Klosterkapelle und dem Kapitelsaal der Kongregation der Schwestern Notre-Dame eingerichtet.
Der Zuschauerraum wurde dann 1857 vollständig restauriert und in seine heutige Form als "italienisches Theater" mit zwei Balkonen, einem Hühnerstall und einer Kapazität von 450 Plätzen gebracht. Das Theater wurde 1950 geschlossen und in seinem ursprünglichen Zustand belassen, der sich schnell verschlechterte. Dank des Einsatzes lokaler Vereine wurde es vor dem Abriss gerettet und 1989 von Jack Lang zum MH erklärt. Derzeit laufen Restaurierungsarbeiten und eine Subskription bei der Fondation du Patrimoine (Stiftung für das Kulturerbe). Text Fondation du Patrimoine
