TEATRO, Mirecourt
È difficile immaginare che il teatro di Mirecourt fosse uno dei più importanti dei Vosgi per le sue dimensioni e la sua bellezza? La sua costruzione è piuttosto originale: il primo teatro è stato costruito nel 1824 nell'ex cappella del convento e sala capitolare della Congregazione delle Suore di Notre-Dame.
L'auditorium fu poi completamente restaurato nel 1857 nella sua attuale configurazione di "teatro all'italiana", con due balconate, un pollaio e una capienza di 450 posti. Chiuso nel 1950, il teatro è stato lasciato in uno stato di abbandono e di rapido deterioramento. È stato salvato dalla demolizione grazie all'azione delle associazioni locali e classificato come monumento storico da Jack Lang nel 1989.
