Der 664 m hohe rosafarbene Sandsteinfelsen ragt aus dem Wald heraus und ist eine einzigartige Sehenswürdigkeit. Der Felsen war eine keltische Kultstätte und wurde im Mittelalter von einer mächtigen Burg überragt, dem Sitz der legendären Grafschaft Dabo. Sie wurde 1690 auf Befehl von Ludwig XIV. zerstört, als die Grafschaft an Frankreich angeschlossen wurde. Die heutige Kapelle im neoromanischen Stil ist Papst Leo IX. gewidmet, einem Kind des Landes. Der Rocher de Dabo bietet einen grandiosen Ausblick auf die weiten Wälder der Vogesen und das lothringische Plateau. Der Felsen ist das ganze Jahr über zu sehen, aber der Zugang zur Plattform ist in der Winterzeit reglementiert. Von November bis März ist die Besichtigung frei. Der Zugang zum Felsen und zur Kapelle ist vom 29. März bis zum 26. Oktober kostenpflichtig. Führungen für Gruppen nach Voranmeldung im Fremdenverkehrsamt.
