Der Strand liegt zwischen Vieux Port und Port de Garavan , entlang des Quai Bonaparte , vor der Altstadt.
Anders als die meisten Strände von Menton besteht dieser nicht aus großen Kieselsteinen, sondern aus feinkörnigem Kies, der mit Sand vermischt ist , was ihn zum bequemen Gehen (barfuß) und Spielen macht.
Die 2019 renovierte Esplanade verfügt über 12 Pergolen (Terrassenüberdachungen) und 4 Trinkwasserbrunnen sowie Duschen und Toiletten.
Die Aussicht ist eine echte Postkarte : bunte Fassaden von Menton mit den italienischen Bergen im Hintergrund.
