La spiaggia si trova tra il Vieux Port e il Port de Garavan , lungo il Quai Bonaparte di fronte alla città vecchia
A differenza della maggior parte delle spiagge di Mentone, questa non è composta da grossi ciottoli, ma da fini granelli di ghiaia mischiati a sabbia , il che la rende comoda per camminare (a piedi nudi) e giocare.
La piazza, ristrutturata nel 2019, è dotata di 12 pergole (coperture per terrazze) e 4 fontanelle, oltre a docce e servizi igienici.
La vista è una vera prospettiva da cartolina : facciate colorate di Mentone con le montagne italiane sullo sfondo
