Stranden ligger mellem Vieux Port og Port de Garavan , langs Quai Bonaparte , foran den gamle bydel.
I modsætning til de fleste af Mentons strande består denne ikke af store småsten, men af fint grus blandet med sand , hvilket gør den behagelig at gå på (barfodet) og lege på.
Esplanaden, der blev renoveret i 2019, har 12 pergolaer (terrassetage) og 4 drikkevandsfontæner samt brusere og toiletter.
Udsigten er et ægte postkort : Mentons farverige facader med de italienske bjerge i baggrunden.
