La playa está situada entre el Vieux Port y Port de Garavan , a lo largo del Quai Bonaparte , frente al casco antiguo.
A diferencia de la mayoría de las playas de Menton, esta no está formada por grandes guijarros, sino por finos granos de grava mezclados con arena , lo que la hace cómoda para caminar (descalzo) y jugar.
La explanada, renovada en 2019, cuenta con 12 pérgolas (cubiertas de terraza) y 4 fuentes de agua potable, además de duchas y aseos.
La vista es una auténtica postal : fachadas coloridas de Menton con las montañas italianas al fondo.
