Newtown ist ein Dorf im County Tipperary, Irland. Es liegt an der R494 Regionalstraße 7 km westlich von Nenagh. Laut der Volkszählung von 2016 betrug die Bevölkerung 309. Es befindet sich im Baronat Owney und Arra. Es ist auch Teil der Pfarrei Youghalarra in der römisch-katholischen Diözese Killaloe.
Das Klima in Newtown ist ozeanisch. Die Stadt liegt am Fuße der Arra Mountains. Der Newtown River entspringt in der Nähe von Tountinna und fließt an der Stadt vorbei in die Youghal-Bucht. Die Stadt ist zwischen den Townlands Pallas Beg und Monroe aufgeteilt. Es gibt drei Wohnsiedlungen in Newtown und der Arra Rovers FC hat hier seinen Sitz. Es gibt zwei Kneipen und eine Post.
