Newtown is een dorp in County Tipperary, Ierland. Het ligt aan de R494 regionale weg, 7 km ten westen van Nenagh. Volgens de volkstelling van 2016 was de bevolking 309. Het bevindt zich in de baronie Owney en Arra. Het maakt ook deel uit van de parochie Youghalarra in het rooms-katholieke bisdom Killaloe.
Het klimaat van Newtown is oceaanachtig. Het dorp ligt aan de voet van de Arra-bergen. De Newtown-rivier ontspringt nabij Tountinna en stroomt langs het dorp en in de baai van Youghal. Het dorp is verdeeld tussen de landgoederen Pallas Beg en Monroe. Er zijn drie woonwijken in Newtown en de Arra Rovers FC is hier gevestigd. Er zijn twee kroegen en een postkantoor.
