Der Vijverpark ist ein Park im Zentrum von Brunssum in der niederländischen Provinz Südlimburg. Der Park liegt an der Südseite des Zentrums dieser Stadt. Im Westen befindet sich der höher gelegene Lindeplein mit dem alten Rathaus. Der Park liegt am Rand des Feldbiss-Bruchs.
Im Dezember 1918 begann man mit der Erschließung des Braunkohlenfeldes Brunahilde II. Über einen Zeitraum von sechs Monaten wurden durch die niederländisch-belgisch-englische Firma "Bergerode" mehr als 400.000 Tonnen Braunkohle abgebaut. Im August 1919 wurde das wasserführende Feldbissbruch angestochen, wodurch die Grube schnell mit Wasser volllief und der Braunkohleabbau eingestellt wurde.
