Il Vijverpark è un parco situato nel centro di Brunssum, nella Limburgo olandese meridionale. Il parco si trova sul lato sud del centro di questa località. Sul lato ovest si trova la Lindeplein più elevata, con il vecchio Municipio accanto ad essa. Il parco si trova al margine della frattura di Feldbiss.
A dicembre 1918 cominciarono le operazioni di estrazione del giacimento di lignite Brunahilde II. Per sei mesi la società italo-belga-inglese "Bergerode" estrasse oltre 400.000 tonnellate di lignite. Nell'agosto 1919 fu tagliata la frattura acquifera di Feldbiss, facendo sì che la miniera si riempisse rapidamente d'acqua e l'estrazione della lignite fosse interrotta.
