Vilsteren ist ein Dorf in der Gemeinde Ommen in der niederländischen Provinz Overijssel. Es liegt direkt am linken Ufer der Vecht zwischen Dalfsen und Ommen, etwa 17 Kilometer östlich der Provinzhauptstadt Zwolle. Vilsteren ist ein Esdorp, das erstmals 1233 als Hermanno de Vilsteren erwähnt wurde. 1381 wurde ein Herrenhaus im Dorf errichtet. Das aktuelle Huis Vilsteren stammt aus dem Jahr 1908. Während der Reformation wurde in dem Gut eine geheime Kirche erbaut, und Vilsteren ist eines der wenigen Dörfer, das im heutigen protestantischen Bibelgürtel römisch-katholisch geblieben ist. Die Saint Willibrord Kirche wurde 1817 fertiggestellt. 1840 hatte es 146 Einwohner.
