Der Beukers-Steenwijk-Kanal ist die Wasserverbindung zwischen dem Meppelerdiep und dem Kanal Steenwijk-Ossenzijl. Ungefähr zehn Kilometer südöstlich von Schutsloterwijde beginnt der Kanal am Meppelerdiep und verläuft anschließend in nordwestlicher Richtung zum östlichen Teil der Belterwijde. Über die Fahrrinne an der Ostseite der Beulakerwijde verläuft der Kanal in nördlicher Richtung entlang Giethoorn nach Steenwijk. Der Kanal vom Meppelerdiep bis zum Zuideinde von Giethoorn wird auch Beukersgracht genannt. Seitenkanäle in Giethoorn sind der Jan Hozengracht, der Cornelisgracht und der Thijssengracht. Kurz vor dem Anschluss an den Kanal Steenwijk-Ossenzijl, westlich von Steenwijk, mündet das Steenwijkerdiep in den Kanal.
