Il canale Beukers-Steenwijk è la via d'acqua tra il Meppelerdiep e il Canale Steenwijk-Ossenzijl. Poco a sud-est della Schutsloterwijde, il canale inizia presso il Meppelerdiep e corre quindi in direzione nord-ovest verso la parte orientale della Belterwijde. Attraverso il corso d'acqua sul lato est della Beulakerwijde, il canale si dirige a nord verso Giethoorn e Steenwijk. Il canale dal Meppelerdiep fino allo Zuideinde di Giethoorn è chiamato anche Beukersgracht. I canali laterali a Giethoorn sono il Jan Hozengracht, il Cornelisgracht e il Thijssengracht. Poco prima dell'innesto con il Canale Steenwijk-Ossenzijl, a ovest di Steenwijk, il Steenwijkerdiep si unisce al canale.
