Heythuysen ) ist ein Kirchdorf in der niederländischen Provinz Limburg, Gemeinde Leudal, mit über 6.545 Einwohnern. Der Name Heythuysen stammt von 'heidehuizen', was für sich selbst spricht. Die einheimische Bevölkerung verwendet als Spitznamen für Heythuysen den schmeichelhaften Begriff 'Klein Paries'. Heythuysen entstand im frühen Mittelalter auf einer Sandbank zwischen dem Bevelandse Beek und dem Tungelroyse Beek. Es gehörte 1243 zum Land von Horn, wurde später Eigentum des Fürstbistums Lüttich und im Jahr 1680 wurde es ein selbstständiges Herrschaftsgebiet, in der französischen Zeit wurde es eine Gemeinde.
