Klazienaveen-Noord ist ein Dorf in der niederländischen Provinz Drenthe, Gemeinde Emmen, im Gebiet namens De Blokken. Es hatte im Jahr 2019 4.893 Einwohner. Das Dorf entstand entlang des Scholtenskanaals und hieß ursprünglich Smeulveen, nach dem Namen der Torfmoore vor Ort.
Die Familie Scholten war der Besitzer der Torfmoore und der wichtigste Torfstecher. Zu diesem Zweck gründete sie die Gesellschaft Klazienaveen.
