Klazienaveen-Noord es una aldea en la provincia neerlandesa de Drenthe, municipio de Emmen, en el área llamada De Blokken. Tenía en 2019 4.893 habitantes. La aldea se formó a lo largo del canal Scholtenskanaal y inicialmente se llamó Smeulveen, en referencia a la zona de turberas local.
La familia Scholten era la propietaria de las turberas y fue la principal extractora de turba. Para ello, fundaron la Sociedad Klazienaveen.
