Hippolytuskirche.
Mitten in den Wäldern von Olterterp und doch ganz nah an verschiedenen Gastronomiebetrieben steht die Sint Hippolytuskerk von Olterterp. Ihrer romantischen Lage und der schönen Innengestaltung verdankt die Kirche zweifellos ihren Ruf als "Hochzeitskirche" von Fryslân. Im Sommer finden oft Ausstellungen bildender Kunst statt. Die gotische Kirche hat neben dem Turm und dem Chorschluss Treppengiebel. Die Kanzel mit Sanduhr aus 1780 zeigt auf den fünf Kanzelpaneelen Abbildungen der vier Evangelisten und Mose mit den zehn Geboten. Die Familie Boelens, seit dem 18. Jahrhundert Bewohner des nahegelegenen Schlosses Boellens (heute Huize Olterterp, Hauptsitz von It Fryske Gea), spendete 1744 500 Gulden für den Bau des Turms, an den eine Gedenktafel über dem Eingang erinnert.
