Diese Schleuse wurde bereits im 17. Jahrhundert angelegt, um Torf zur Vecht zu transportieren. Sie ist heute der größte Durchgang zwischen der Vecht und den Loosdrechtse Plassen, mit einem Gefälle von ca. 1 Meter. Hier ist es im Sommer eine amüsante geschäftige Atmosphäre. Wenn das Boot in der Schleuse liegt, kann der Schiffer an Bord bleiben. Der Rest der Gesellschaft kann dann kurz ein Eis oder ein Getränk im Laden des Schleusenwärters holen oder sich an der großen Sammlung ungewöhnlicher Kuriositäten erfreuen.
