Die Lexkesveer ist die Fähreverbindung zwischen Wageningen und Randwijk über den Nederrhein. Die Fähreverbindung existierte bereits im Mittelalter. Angesichts der Tatsache, dass auf der Nordseite von der Fähre aus eine prähistorische Route über den Hang der Veluwe weiter nach Norden führt, lässt sich schließen, dass am Lexkesveer möglicherweise früher bereits eine durchquerbare Stelle durch den Fluss bestand. Am Lexkesveer lagen auf der Wageninger Seite vor dem Zweiten Weltkrieg auch ein Hotel und ein Schwimmbad. Zudem steht auf dieser Seite noch das alte Fährhaus.
