Ende des 15. Jahrhunderts wurde mit dem Bau einer Kirche im Stil der flämischen und kempischen Gotik begonnen. Der Turm wurde um 1480 erbaut. 1882 wurde die Kirche restauriert. 1944 wurde das Gebäude von den Deutschen gesprengt, wobei auch der berühmte Chorgestühl beschädigt wurde. 1951 war die Restaurierung abgeschlossen.
Im Vordergrund das ehemalige Rathaus von Wouw.
In der Halle der Kirche befindet sich eine Marienkapelle.
