Seit Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts steht hier ein Pavillon, um Wanderern einen Ruhepunkt mit Aussicht auf das Dorf Bennekom zu bieten. Von letzterem können wir nicht mehr genießen, da die Aussicht durch das Gehölz völlig verschwunden ist. Außerdem wurde es 2004 nicht nur restauriert, sondern auch etwa 50 Meter versetzt.
Nachfahren des damaligen Eigentümers, Albertus van Daalen, schenkten den Pavillon 1929 dem VVV. Es muss ein beliebter Ort gewesen sein, denn er erscheint auf verschiedenen alten Postkarten.
