Desde mediados del siglo XIX, aquí hay una cúpula para ofrecer un punto de descanso a los paseantes, con vistas al pueblo de Bennekom. No podemos disfrutar de esto último porque la vista ha desaparecido por la vegetación. Además, en 2004 no solo se restauró, sino que también se trasladó unos 50 metros.
Los descendientes del entonces propietario, Albertus van Daalen, donaron la cúpula en 1929 a la VVV. Debe haber sido un lugar querido, ya que aparece en varias antiguas postales.
