Das Schloss de Binckhorst ist ein Schloss aus dem 17. Jahrhundert mit Ursprüngen im frühen 14. Jahrhundert. Es liegt im Haager Stadtteil Binckhorst, der an Rijswijk und Voorburg grenzt. Wann das Schloss De Binckhorst gegründet wurde, ist unbekannt. Es befindet sich im gleichen Strandwallkomplex wie das Forum Hadriani in Voorburg, und die ältesten Spuren in der Gegend reichen bis in die Jungsteinzeit zurück. Es ist nicht ausgeschlossen, dass die nahegelegene Binckhorstlaan eine Fortsetzung oder Nachfolger einer römischen Straße ist. Der Name Binckhorst wird erstmals 1076 erwähnt. Das Wort -horst, das vom germanischen Wort hursti stammt, bezieht sich auf ein bewaldetes, höher gelegenes Gelände in einem moorigen Gebiet. Das Wort bink könnte ebenfalls auf 'Höhe' verweisen.
