Die Kaapse Bossen ist ein 425 Hektar großes Naturschutzgebiet in der niederländischen Provinz Utrecht, das von Natuurmonumenten verwaltet wird. Es liegt an der Seitenmoräne Utrechtse Heuvelrug und ist Teil des Nationalparks Utrechtse Heuvelrug. Um 1750, nach seiner Rückkehr aus Südafrika, wo er Gouverneur der Kapkolonie war, kaufte Hendrik Swellengrebel das Anwesen 'Schoonoordt'. Die Wälder erinnerten ihn an den Wald hinter dem Tafelberg in der Nähe von Kapstadt. Sie wurden als die 'Kaapse Wälder' bekannt. Der Helena-Hügel im Wald ist nach seiner ältesten Tochter Helena Johanna Swellengrebel benannt, die wahrscheinlich bei ihrer ersten Entbindung starb.
