Auf der linken Seite sehen Sie ein gelbes Gebäude: Huize Zocher. Die Geschichte von Huize Zocher beginnt im Jahr 1865, als der Architekt J. van Ek das neoklassizistische Rijksmonument entwarf. Ein auffälliges Merkmal von Huize Zocher ist der Baustil, der zwischen 1864 und 1870 zur Errichtung von elf Villen auf den Bollwerken des Prinsen Bolwerk in Haarlem führte. Ursprünglich 1865 als Wohnhaus gedacht, wurde das Gebäude bald als Notkrankenhaus genutzt und erhielt um 1930 die Funktion einer Schule. Heute dient das Haus als Pflegeheim.
