Wałbrzych [ˈvawbʒɨx], deutsch Waldenburg/Schlesien , ist eine Großstadt in der polnischen Woiwodschaft Niederschlesien. Sie bildete bis Anfang der 1990er Jahre das Zentrum des niederschlesischen Steinkohlereviers. Bekannt ist die Stadt auch für das größte Schloss Schlesiens, das Schloss Fürstenstein.
