Taxenbach is a market town with 2,711 inhabitants in the Salzburg region in the district of Zell am See in Austria. It was the seat of the Taxenbach District Court. The municipality is located in Pinzgau in the Salzburg region in the middle Salzach valley at the exit of the Rauris valley. Until the end of 2002, the municipality belonged to the Taxenbach judicial district; since 2003, it has been part of the Zell am See judicial district.
