Schlierbach is a municipality in the district of Kirchdorf an der Krems in the Austrian state of Upper Austria.
The Schlierbach Abbey is a climax of the Austrian baroque architecture. It was founded in the 14th century as a convent. In the 17th century it was re-founded as a Cistercian monastery. Between 1680-1712 the buildings were renovated in the Baroque style following plans by Pietro Francesco Carlone that were executed by his sons.
