Zwentendorf an der Donau is a market town with 4,181 inhabitants in the district of Tulln in Lower Austria. The place became known as the site of Austria's only nuclear power plant, which, however, was never put into operation. Zwentendorf an der Donau is located in the Tullnerfeld on the southern bank of the Danube in Lower Austria. The area of the market town covers 53.85 square kilometers. 37.42 percent of the area is forested.
