The village is a resort village and is located in the bay of the Vorarlberg Vorderland, on the right bank of the Alpine Rhine Valley with a favorable climate. Here – on the slopes of the Hohe Kugel – viticulture has been practiced for a long time. The place is situated at an altitude of about 450 m in the center and about 510 m at the church. The municipality of Klaus covers an area of 524.46 hectares, of which 263.24 hectares are forest.
