The Lermooser Tunnel is a 3168-meter-long tunnel on the Fernpassstraße located in the Austrian state of Tyrol between the German town of Füssen and the Austrian town of Nassereith. The tunnel is situated to the west of the village of Lermoos, after which the tunnel is named, and runs beneath the Lermooser Wald.
The tunnel was constructed between 1981 and 1984 and was opened in 1984. It alleviated traffic through Lermoos and Biberwier. In the autumn of 2003, the tunnel was closed to all traffic for eleven weeks to adapt the tunnel to the increasingly stringent safety requirements.
