The Sagzahn is a 2228-meter high mountain in the Rofan Mountains, a subrange of the Brandenberger Alps in the Austrian state of Tyrol. Its name, derived from "Sägezahn" (saw tooth), reflects its jagged shape that protrudes from the surroundings like a tooth. When viewed from the south, it appears only as a rocky ridge along the north-south Rofan main crest; however, to the east, the Sagzahn has a significant geographical dominance over the alpine pastures located to the east, thanks to its impressive walls made of hard rock, the Hauptdolomit. Due to its easy accessibility from Achensee and from Münster in the Inn Valley, it is a popular destination for mountaineers and alpine climbers.
