The Bärnstatt Chapel to the Suffering Savior is a Roman Catholic pilgrimage chapel in Scheffau am Wilden Kaiser on the road to Hintersteiner See. The building is listed as a protected monument. The small niche altar southeast of the chapel was erected in 1693 and served as the original place of prayer at Bärnstatt. The pilgrimage chapel was then built from 1763 to 1765. In 1765, the venerated image was transferred to the new chapel. The Stations of the Cross images date from 1767.
