The Stubenbergsee is an artificial bathing lake located below the Styrian village of Stubenberg, in the municipality of Stubenberg am See. It lies at the foot of the Kulm. The lake, which is approximately 40 hectares in size, was created between 1968 and 1971. It is fed by the water of the Feistritz, with a purification and preparation process taking place before the water enters the lake in recent years. The water can be directed into the lake at the northern shore and is diverted back into the Feistritz at the southwestern corner. To prevent overheating, a cooling system in the form of deep aeration has been set up. The lake stretches approximately 1,000 meters from north to south and about 420 meters from west to east.
