The parish church of the Assumption of Mary, also known as the Matrei parish church and the pilgrimage church of Our Lord in Suffering, is a Roman Catholic church located in the old town and the seat of the original parish of Matrei am Brenner. The late Gothic, baroque-style church building features a Romanesque southern tower with late Gothic sound windows and is situated east of the Sill in the Pfonen municipality area, surrounded by a cemetery.
